This is the request from Destiny-Smasher :icondestiny-smasher: that I had been working on since July or so. I was finally able to finish it now that I'm on break and schoolwork wasn't killing me. xD

I don't have much to say about it, since the idea wasn't mine, but I can tell you that this scene is meant to be from his Avatar fanfiction that takes place in an alternate universe, hence Aang and Katara's rather normal attire. This is after Aang's breakup with Toph (and here I go "..." xD), so they're nervous and slightly unsure, yet happy. At this precise moment, the chapter that this scene is from has not yet been written and uploaded, but it'll get there soon, or so I'm told ;] Here's the chapter this scene is from: [link]

I haven't read Avatar fanfiction in a loooong time but I remember reading all of Lyralocke's work; she wrote such fluffy stories of Kataang.
I like this alternate universe Aang and Katara though. :D They look so flirty. ;D xD

So I'm getting pretty close to writing this scene, and I wanted to say that since before you drew this, I always had the Owl City song "Saltwater Room" in my head when thinking about it - your drawing captures the same kind of atmosphere as that song. It's quite perfect.

A lot of people have done the "Avatar in modern day" thing before, but I'd like think this story takes itself more seriously - sweetangel's interpretation is wonderful, and she did a great job capturing the kind of atmosphere this scene should have.
